In World War I, 30,000 prisoners were interned in a camp close to Berlin, called the “Half Moon Camp”. They were Muslim Arabs, Indians and Africans who had fought for the British and French armies. The German filmmaker and sound artist Philip Scheffner created a compelling movie from historical audio files, half documentary and half essay.
